PFS shoe policy: Clean, soft-soled shoes are absolutely required. Brushes are available at the door to clean your shoes if needed. Please also wipe shoes on the mat when entering and exiting the room where we dance, to avoid tracking grit onto the dance floor or dust into the hallways. Also, even if side doors of the Great Room are open for ventilation, please do not enter or exit the hall through those doors. PCD would especially like to thank Bruce Freeman for helping us research floor care and acquire the necessary equipment.
To volunteer help with refreshments and other tasks, please contact Janet at 609-730-8563 or Janet Mills, or sign up at a dance.
Laurie Fisher & David Knight appear with caller Barbara Groh on Wednesday, June 26. David's fiddling graced our Winter Cotillion a couple of years ago; Laurie visits PCD most Christmases.
The trio Grumblin Rustic, fresh from a concert appearance at NEFFA, will provide the music on Wednesday, August 7.
Saturday, June 22: Bob Isaacs with the Philadelphia band Horse with a Heart at Princeton Friends School.
No Saturday dance in July. Check out the Falcon Ridge festival...
Saturday, August 24: TBA, at Princeton Friends School.
Committee members would like to thank Terry Lyons and Steve Tayler for their many contributions to PCD while they served on the committee.
What does the committee do? Article 4, section 2 of our constitution says "The Executive Committee shall be responsible for organizing the weekly dances, planning special events, making policy decisions, organizing the music, handling finances, purchasing equipment and supplies." "Organizing the weekly dances" means booking bands and callers and dance locations; publishing the schedule; providing refreshments; setting up and cleaning up.... That's a lot for 5 people! Please volunteer early & often to help with setup and cleanup, minding the door while sitting out a dance, purchasing and putting out refreshments. It's not rocket science-just ask & we'll be happy to train you! Admission discounts are possible for substantial amounts of work.
Date: October 26, 2002.
Location: TBA. The R&O committee is working on it and welcomes suggestions.

Constitutional Amendments Approved at PCD Community Meeting on March 6
The PCD membership ("any person with an interest in and commitment to the best interests and objectives of the Princeton Country Dancers") approved two amendments to the constitution at the meeting during the dance March 6. We revised the timing of elections from the last week in March to between March 1 and April 15, and raised the admission for regular Wednesday dances from $4 to $5 to meet increased operating costs.

Help Wanted with Red Tape
We need someone to do a little research into PCD's non-profit status, related to getting the forms necessary for exemption from state sales tax. Can you help? Call Barbara Simpson, 609-683-1023, or send e-mail.
Rum & Onions XXIII News
We are delighted to announce that this year's caller is David Millstone. In addition to being a fine caller, David produced the video documentary "Paid to Eat Ice Cream." You might have seen this video, about the great contra dance piano and accordion player Bob McQuillen and the history & revival of contra dancing in New England, at NEFFA.
Bob Pasquarello returns to lead the band in another year of great tunes and surprises.
